Adyen, the global payments platform, and Shopify, the leading provider of essential internet infrastructure for commerce, have announced a new partnership to provide enterprise merchants with a more flexible and integrated payments experience.
The partnership will allow Shopify merchants to use Adyen's global payment network, which includes support for over 550 payment methods in over 200 countries and regions. This will give merchants the ability to accept payments from customers around the world, regardless of their location or payment method preference.
“Adyen’s partnership with Shopify will position their enterprise merchants to scale quickly for success since our global ecommerce payment solutions are engineered for creating seamless payment journeys,” said Roelant Prins, Chief Commercial Officer of Adyen. “Our software integration is developed entirely in-house and our technology will help Shopify enterprise merchants scale their businesses with the agility and flexibility needed for long term success.”
In addition, the partnership will provide Shopify merchants with access to Adyen's suite of payment services, including fraud prevention, risk management, and reporting. This will help merchants to reduce fraud and improve the security of their payments.
What this means for businesses
The partnership between Adyen and Shopify is a significant development for enterprise merchants. It provides them with the opportunity to simplify their payments operations, reduce fraud, and improve the customer experience.
“We recognize now we have the opportunity to enter into the enterprise segment and we’re ready to offer something unique - a centralized solution in a single platform,” said Kaz Nejatian, Chief Operating Officer of Shopify. “Adyen is a preferred enterprise payment partner for Shopify as they have extensive experience, expertise and solutions that meet the unique needs of global, modern, large-scale merchants. This makes them the right choice for us, and more importantly, for our enterprise customers.”
Specifically, the partnership will allow merchants to:
- Accept payments from customers around the world
- Reduce fraud and improve the security of their payments
- Simplify their payments operations
- Improve the customer experience
The partnership between Adyen and Shopify is a win-win for both companies. It provides Adyen with access to Shopify's large and growing merchant base, and it provides Shopify merchants with access to Adyen's global payment network and suite of payment services.
If you are an enterprise merchant, I encourage you to learn more about the partnership and how it can benefit your business.
